Waldemar Markiewicz

Waldemar has an extensive experience in the securities industry, where he has assumed several senior positions in a career spanning more than 30 years. These positions include the Head of DB Securities for almost 20 years, where he was responsible for the company's operations in Central Europe - CE3 region (Warsaw, Budapest, Prague), the Head of Santander Securities and the Head of ProCapital Securities private broker. Waldemar holds a master's degree in economics from the Main School of Planning and Statistics (currently SGH- Warsaw School of Economics). He is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Since 2012, Waldemar has been Chief Executive Officer of the Polish Chamber of Securities Brokers, an association founded in 1996 and representing 20 largest investment firms active in Polish securities markets. In 2023, Waldemar Markiewicz was honoured with the title of "capital market personality" by PARKIET, a leading financial newspaper, in recognition of his significant contributions to the promotion and development of the Polish capital market.
