Stanisław Mazur

First Deputy Mayor of Kraków

Professor Stanisław Mazur is a graduate of Jagiellonian University and a researcher in public policy and public management. He has been actively involved in the development of Kraków’s public life for many years, serving as President of the Foundation for Economy and Public Administration in Kraków (2007–2009), a member of the Civil Service Council (2009–2015), and the initiator and member of the "Better Kraków" Association, which aims to develop new solutions for public policies in the city.

He served as Dean of the College of Economy and Public Administration at the Kraków University of Economics from 2016 to 2019 and as Rector of the same university from 2020 to 2024. He also led the Department of Public Policy at the institution. Since May 14, 2024, he has been the First Deputy Mayor of the City of Kraków.

His academic specialization includes public policy analysis, public management, public administration, and organizational learning.

Professor Mazur has participated as an expert and coordinator in numerous national and international projects related to public policy analysis, governance quality, strategic management, and organizational learning. He is the author of over 250 scientific publications and 140 expert reports, with works published by Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Routledge, Peter Lang, and De Gruyter.
