Sławomir Żygowski
Country Executive, GE Vernova
Slawomir Żygowski serves as a Country Executive for GE Vernova in Poland. In his role, he is instrumental in shaping GE Vernova’s strategic direction within the country and fostering relationships with key Polish energy companies. His expertise spans sectors such as gas power, wind, grid and nuclear projects.
He coordinates flagship projects including the country’s largest gas-fired power plants like the one in Ostroleka, which consists of the most efficient, responsive and flexible power units capable of burning up to 50% by volume of hydrogen. His leadership was also pivotal in the past development of the Opole and Dolna Odra power plants.
In addition to his work in gas power, Slawomir is actively involved in advancing GE Vernova's strategy for Poland's nuclear, wind, grid and hydro programs, supporting the country’s energy transition and renewable energy development.
