Piotr Charewicz
World Bank coordinator for the preparation of the White Paper on Transformation
Piotr Charewicz works at the World Bank as a Senior Infrastructure Specialist. He is involved in energy projects implemented in Poland and across the European Union. He began his professional career in business consulting, working for firms such as EY. In recent years, he has participated in numerous infrastructure projects in Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in the energy sector.
Piotr previously worked for a Transmission System Operator, where he was responsible for the implementation of key transmission investments. These included the construction of the Poland–Lithuania HVDC interconnector, the North–South transmission line, as well as serving as the investment coordinator for the synchronization of the Baltic States with the continental European power system.
He has also collaborated with the European Commission as an expert responsible for evaluating and supporting projects related to energy transition and decarbonization. Piotr is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, where he studied economics and economic analysis of law.
