Paweł Stężycki
President , Polish Aerospace Industries Association, Director, Łukasiewicz - Institute of Aviation
Paweł Stężycki is an experienced leader and engineer, a graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, who has been combining his passion for technology with working with people for over 25 years. He began his professional career at General Electric, where he held managerial positions, developing and managing large teams and projects. In 2018, he was appointed Director of the Institute of Aviation, and since 2019, he has served as Director of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation, a position he will hold until the end of February 2025.
Paweł supports the work of a group of 1,500 engineers and scientists who are developing innovative technologies in aviation and space. Thanks to his deep knowledge of how large industrial enterprises operate and his commitment, Paweł creates the framework conditions for the implementation of breakthrough R&D work in the aerospace sector, which has practical applications in both the domestic and international industries.
In addition to his daily duties, Paweł serves as the national representative in Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries (ASD). He is a member of many Scientific Councils of institutes in the fields of engineering, automotive technology, robotics, and also a member of the Advisory Board of the MEiL Faculty at the Warsaw University of Technology. His commitment and knowledge contribute to the development of aviation technologies at both the national and international levels.
