Mr Mariusz Pomienski, the European Court of Auditors, Director of Chamber I – Sustainable Use of Natural Resources
Mariusz Pomienski has more than 25 years of experience in public sector auditing at both national and European levels. He currently works as the Director of Chamber I at the European Court of Auditors (ECA), where he supervises performance audits of EU policies and programs related to climate, energy, environment, and agriculture. Chamber I carries out around 10 such audits per year.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Pomienski held several positions within the ECA, including Director of Chamber V where he was responsible for preparing the ECA’s annual report and the audit opinion on the legality and regularity of the EU budget expenditure.
Before joining the ECA in 2007, Mr. Pomienski worked at the Polish Supreme Audit Institution (NIK), including in the regional branch in Katowice.
