Maria Staszkiewicz
Adviser to the Deputy Minister of Finance
Maria Staszkiewicz is adviser to Deputy Minister of Finance of Poland. In 2024 she held an equivalent position at the Czech Ministry of Finance.
Prior to joining the public sector, Maria worked as the President of the European Digital Finance Association, a trade association of national fintech associations, which she helped establish in 2020. She also led the Czech Fintech Association.
In 2010 - 2017 Maria was active in the Central European think tank sector, working as Deputy Executive Director at Aspen Institute Central Europe and Executive Director of the Association of International Affairs. She joined the NGO sphere after a brief experience as civil servant Brussels at the Secretariat General of the Council of the EU.
Maria graduated in political sciences and European studies in Poland and Germany, she also attended the Internet Leadership Academy at the Oxford Internet Institute. Her main interests are digital technologies and digital finance, and their impact on global politics.
