Marcin Kulasek
Minister of Science and Higher Education, Poland
Marcin Kulasek is a graduate of the Faculty of Food Science at Olsztyn’s University of Warmia and Mazury where he was awarded a PhD degree in agricultural sciences. He also completed a postgraduate programme in EU fund management and security and crisis management. Since 17 January 2025, he has held the position of Minister of Science and Higher Education. Before that, from 18 December 2023, he served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of State Assets.
Throughout his career, Minister Marcin Kulasek has combined his work for the development of science and higher education with roles in public administration and local government. He served as an assistant to the governor of Warmia and Mazury, worked at the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture and was appointed as a councillor in the regional assembly. In 2019, he was elected a Member of the Polish Sejm where he served on the Education, Science and Youth Committee and chaired the Subcommittee on Science.In 2023, he was re-elected as a Member of the Sejm.
