Jarosław Niewierowicz

Position: Chief Advisor to the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, Minister of Energy of Lithuania between 2012-2014

Jarek Niewierowicz is partnering with Eika Infrastructure Fund to address Central and Nothern Europe financing gap for infrastructure projects in  sustainable energy, mobility, social, digital and infrastructure for defence sector. Mr. Niewierowicz also acts as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the largest Ukrainian energy company Energoatom.

 He previously served as Chief Adviser during the first term of the President Gitanas Nausėda, overseeing the Environment and Infrastructure portfolio. Prior to that, he helped establish and implement the investment strategy for the Baltics’ first Infrastructure and Energy Investment Fund.

 Mr. Niewierowicz was Lithuania’s Minister of Energy during the country’s 2013 Presidency of the EU Council, where he chaired the Energy Council. In this ministerial role, he led the legal unbundling of the Lithuanian gas sector and oversaw construction of the Klaipeda LNG FSRU terminal—breaking the gas supply monopoly in the Baltic States and providing a critical pillar for regional energy security. He also streamlined efforts and secured adequate financing for the decommissioning of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant. From 2008 to 2012, as CEO of LitPol Link SPV, he managed the development of the HVDC electricity transmission line connecting Lithuania and Poland.

 Mr. Niewierowicz holds a master’s degree in International Political and Economic Relations from the Warsaw School of Economics and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
