Jacek Szołtysek
Full Professor Head of Department of Social Logistics
Prof. Dr. hab. Jacek Szołtysek is the Head of the Department of Social Logistics. For over 15 years, his research interests have focused on the potential of logistics, particularly in urban management. He is the originator of the concept of social logistics.
He is the author of 14 scientific monographs, over 60 chapters in scientific monographs, and more than 200 scientific articles published both in Poland and abroad. His most recent publications include *"The Sharing Economy – Urban Context" (2022)*, *"The Threatened Future of Cities – Environmental and Demographic Aspects" (2023)*, and *"A New Perspective on the City" (2024)*.
He has extensive managerial experience, having held top executive positions in economic entities. He served as a city councilor from 2018 to 2024. His work has been presented at numerous national and international conferences. He is an expert in urban functioning, particularly in the smart city concept and methods of shaping social capital and other resources on the path to creating an intelligent city.
