Francisco MENDES-PALMA is Director of Transform4Europe at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, an European Universities Alliance that aims to transform higher education institutions through an innovative approach that seeks positive changes in study programs, research and links with the community. Invited Professor of the Executive Education Program Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics and of the Master’s Programs Nova School of Business and Economics. Experienced economist with MA in Economics from the College of Europe and with a mix of academic, institutional, public, and private sector experience. Former Counsellor and Chair of the Energy Working Party during the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. CEO of aicep Global Parques, S.A., Board Member of a private bank in Africa and Head of Research in Portugal's leading privately-owned bank. Economic consultant in both Portuguese and foreign private companies. Lecturer with a track record in applied research in several institutions like the Applied Research & Consulting (CEA) unit of Católica-Lisbon and the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center.
