Ernest Czermański

Prof. Ernest Czermański – economist, scientist, entrepreneur. Dr hab. of economic sciences, professor at the University of Gdańsk, where he heads the Department of Maritime Economy of the Faculty of Economics and at the same time serves as Director of the Centre for the Maritime Economics Studies and head of the Postgraduate Studies ‘Education for Sustainable Development:
Offshore Wind Energy’. Specialist in the fields of shipping economics, seaports, intermodal transport and offshore wind energy. Author of more than 100 publications in the fields of maritime economy and transport. Co-author of the Smart Specialisation of Pomerania No. 1 in port and logistics and offshore and the National Smart Specialisation of the offshore industry. In addition, he is an expert in the field of feasibility assessment of projects co-financed by the EU. He has managed numerous national (NCBiR) and international (Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, Interreg BSR, 7th FP) scientific and R&D projects. Member of the PIMEW Council.
Also an entrepreneur, co-founder and manager of the first Polish offshore crew transfer vessel shipping company developed for the needs of the Polish offshore wind energy sector, supporting the so-called local content.
