Thematic scope
The quality, condition, and longevity of decades-old multi-family buildings as both a social challenge and an opportunity. Four million panel-built apartment blocks: Poland’s housing stock and the energy revolution in construction. The scale of revitalisation and thermal modernisation needs, estimated costs versus the financial capacity of housing cooperatives and associations, and the potential of the construction market. How much time do we have? New technologies and materials, sources of funding and support, investment, reconstruction, and revitalisation models, lessons from Western European countries.
