Mariusz Michałek
Vice-President of the Management Board, PGE Energia Ciepła
Experienced manager with 25 years of professional experience in creation, management in industry and energy, both in international corporations and state-owned companies.
He participated in the implementation of investment and strategic projects from the energy sector, related, among others, to the improvement of business efficiency and implemented under the Norwegian and EEA Funds.
He worked as a director of PGE Energia Ciepła S.A. in Kraków, in the Tauron Group, as vice-president of the management board of the Tauron Wytwarzanie Serwis S.A. and as operations director and proxy at the Tauron Serwis S.A., and at Danfoss Poland, a part of the Danish Danfoss concern. In 2024, he also served as the President of the Polish Association of Combined Heat and Power Plants.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Częstochowa University of Technology. He completed an optional course in teacher training at the Częstochowa University of Technology, postgraduate management studies at the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, postgraduate studies in business and commercial law at the University of Silesia in Katowice and an Executive MBA programme organised by the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
