Prof. Marek Pawełczyk
The Rector of the Silesian University of Technology in the term of 2024-2028. Professor and head of the Department of Measurements and Control Systems at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science, specialist in industrial automation, digital signal processing and vibroacoustics.
Since 2006 he has held important managerial positions at the University, in the years 2016-2024 he was Vice Rector for Science and Development. Since 2024 he has been the Chairman of the International Cooperation Committee of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, a member of the Presidium of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, and a Vice-Chairman of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities. He served as Chairman of the State Scientific Policy Committee.
