Katarzyna Kala-Kowalska
President of the Management Board, DS Smith Polska
Katarzyna Kala-Kowalska is an experienced manager in the packaging industry. She’s been at DS Smith since 1997 and she has gained experience working at various levels within the company's structure.
Since 2008, she has served as the Sales Director for Poland and Central Europe, and in 2012, she assumed the position of Managing Director for the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia). After returning to Poland in May 2023, she took on the role of Managing Director of the West Poland Cluster. In February 2024, she was appointed President of the Management Board of DS Smith Poland, and since May 2024, she has also been serving as the Managing Director of the North Sub-Region (Poland and the Baltic countries).
She specializes in organizational transformation and change management in the M&A process. She builds and supports engaged teams that achieve excellent results. By continuously understanding the (changing) needs of customers, she introduces improvements in corporate and business processes. She eagerly uses modern management methods based on continuous improvement in the "infinite game" of the market.
Katarzyna Kala-Kowalska is a graduate of the University of Warsaw and MBA studies. She also completed the Global Leadership Program at Said Business School at the University of Oxford.
