Grzegorz Mazurek

Rector, Kozminski University

Proffesor Grzegorz Mazurek is the Rector of the Kozminski University, one of the leading business schools in Europe. He has held this position since 2020. He is a full professor specializing in digital transformation strategies for organizations and digital marketing. His particular interests include technological advancements in  he education and reaserch sectors and the development of managerial competencies.

He is a member of the Board of Trustees and the Advisory Board for the Central and Eastern Europe region within the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) – a prestigious global organization that brings together leading business schools and shapes the development of management education. He also serves on the Innovation Committee of the European University Association and the EQUIS Accreditation Board, which is responsible for accrediting the best universities worldwide. He is the Deputy Chair of the Internationalization Committee of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP). Since 2020, he has also been the President of the International Advisory Board of a French Business University ISC Paris. He regularly participates in the accreditation processes of universities around the world, representing EQUIS, AACSB, and BSIS.

From 2012 to 2020, Prof. Mazurek served as the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Kozminski University and was responsible for the university’s internationalization strategy. From 2016 to 2018, he was a member of the Digitalization Council at the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Since March 2025, he has been involved in a team responsible for preparing the strategy for the development of higher education in Poland at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Prof. Mazurek actively collaborates with universities worldwide. He completed research fellowships at IESE Business School in Spain and Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He has been a visiting professor at many prestigious academic centers, including ESCP Europe, SKEMA Business School, and École de Management de Normandie in France, ISCTE Business School in Portugal, Nottingham Trent University in the UK, Soongsil University in South Korea, Universidad del Pacifico in Peru, and the University of Reykjavik in Iceland.

His academic and reasearch achievements include dozens of articles, book chapters, and books published by renowned publishers such as Cambridge University Press, Emerald Publishing, and Routledge, as well as in scientific journals like the European Management Journal and Business Horizons. He is the author of the book “Digital Transformation” (“Transformacja cyfrowa”, PWN, 2019) and the editor and co-author of the textbook “E-marketing – Planning, Tools, and Practice” (“E-marketing – planowanie, narzędzia i praktyka”, Poltext, 2018), which was awarded by the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is also the director of the Kozminski MBA program in Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence and postgraduate studies in digital economy, including Internet Marketing, E-commerce, and Digital Business Transformation.

Prof. Mazurek has received multiple awards for his academic, reasearch and publishing achievements. In 2015, he received the LUMEN Award, granted to leaders in university management. In 2017, he was honored with the Eduinspirator distinction, awarded by the Foundation for the Development of the Education System for his active involvement in education and his positive impact on the community. In 2020, he was awarded the Star of Internationalization Award in the category of Research, granted by the Perspektywy Foundation. During his tenure, Kozminski University was recognized as the most internationalized higher education institution in Poland.

Prof. Mazurek actively collaborates with the business sector. He has carried out consulting and research projects for numerous well-known companies, including Nokia, Nikon, Polpharma, Egmont, PZU, Michelin, IKEA, and Mars Corp.
