Arkadiusz Wiśniewski
Arkadiusz Wiśniewski (born August 29, 1978 in Opole) – local government official, president of Opole since 2014. Master of Business Administration (MBA) studies at the Wrocław University of Economics; graduate of political science and administration at the Opole University, postgraduate studies at the Opole University of Technology (audit and control). Author of the expansion of Opole to include neighboring towns, which maintained the pace of the city's development and the status of a voivodeship. During his term, Opole doubled its budget, won the national ranking of local government investment expenditures many times, and is recognized as one of the most promising cities in Europe in the Business Process Outsourcing sector. Over the last decade, Opole carried out investments worth almost PLN 2 billion, for which PLN 1.2 billion of external financing was obtained. The city's financial policy is appreciated every year by the Fitch agency. In the latest ranking, it awarded Opole a national rating of AA+
