Andrzej Głowacki
President, Polish Atomic Energy Agency
Andrzej Głowacki has been the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency since March 22, 2023.
Mr. Głowacki has been associated with the institution for more than a dozen years. He served as Vice President and also held the position of director of the nuclear safety and security department.
He is the representative of the Republic of Poland in many international nuclear regulatory organizations, including the Western European Nuclear Regulators Association.
Mr. Głowacki is a graduate in physics but also completed postgraduate studies in nuclear power at the Warsaw University of Technology. He has undergone a number of national and international trainings related to nuclear safety and radiation protection, including, among others, on-the-job training at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He is a co-author of a manual for nuclear regulatory inspectors published by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
