Tadeusz Truskolaski (born in 1958) economist, professor of the University of Białystok, an author of over 110 scientific works. Mr. Truskolaski served as the adviser to the Minister of Regional Development. Within the Government Center of Strategic Studies, he worked on the National Development Strategy and on the Development of Eastern Poland Operational Program. He was in charge of the Regional Policy Department within Podlasie Voivodeship Marshal's Office. Since 2011 Mr. Truskolaski is a member of the Committee of the Regions in Brussels - the European Union's Assembly. In 2019, he was elected the President of the Union of Polish Metropolises, an organization associating the 12 largest metropolitan cities in Poland. In 2006 he ran for the office of the Mayor of Bialystok for the first time and was completed continuously until the open day.
