Mark is joining us from Westinghouse Electric Company, where he was a Senior Director for the past 2.5 years, leading the profit and loss for the Balance of Plant product line in the Operating Plant Systems business unit. Prior to his current role at Westinghouse, Mark was the Engineering Vice President at American Electric Power’s D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant. In this role, he led the corporate AEP and the Cook Nuclear Plant’s transition to the Maximo software system as well as leading the Cook Nuclear Plant Projects and Engineering organizations to top-level industry performance as the plant implemented $1.2 billion of lifecycle management upgrades.
Prior to his work with AEP, Mark started his career with Westinghouse, where he held roles with increasing responsibility in technical and business roles, including the Vice President of Business Development for Westinghouse’s new nuclear plant business in the Americas. In this role, he worked with utilities and constructors to promote the Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear reactor technology, respond to competitive bids for new nuclear units, and negotiate Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) agreements with several large US-utilities.
Mark has worked his entire 30-year career in the nuclear industry and is a passionate advocate for nuclear energy as a key enabler to achieving energy security, sustainability, and the transition to a carbon-free world. He brings a strong combination of technical skills, project management and business experience as well as a unique mix of vendor and utility knowledge to his role at Accenture.
