Joydeep is a Specialist / Consultant with over 35+ years of multidimensional work experience and expertise. His primary focus of work includes Public Relations (PR), Corporate Advisory & Business Facilitation Services while advising Individuals (HNI’s) / Companies, both locally & globally. He has been connected with several projects in diverse areas - including Chambers of Commerce, Industry Associations, Trade bodies, et al. Through this professional journey, he has had the chance to work with leading luminaries representing the Business / Industry / Academic / Politics / Social fraternity.

Joydeep is the Chief Consular Officer, Honorary Consulate of Poland in Kolkata, India since 2006. As a bridge between Poland & India, his primary focus of work is to promote, develop & strengthen the relationship between the two nations (with a focus on West Bengal). Through the Consulate he arranges, coordinates and supports Polish Business Missions, Ministerial Delegations, visits by Polish Ambassadors / Officials from the Polish Embassy in New Delhi.

He has played a crucial and comprehensive role towards the success of 5 high-powered Polish Missions (led by senior-level Ministers) that visited Kolkata to attend Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 & 2023 and Bengal Business in 2019. He has organized & participated in several important Webinars - involving Polish Diplomats, Experts, Industrialists / Businessmen from Poland & India on Mining, Business, Trade & Investments, Academic issues, etc.

Having widely traveled to Poland, he has participated and coordinated the visit of a Business Delegation from Kolkata (India) in 2016, took part as an Official Delegation Member from West Bengal (India) during the European Economic Congress (EEC) 2017 and thereafter as a Panelist in EEC 2018. He was once again invited as a Panelist at the Plenary Session of European Future Forum (EFP), organized in 2021. He was also a Panelist during the 13th SME Congress in October 2023. Joydeep was presented with an Honorary Badge by the Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI), Częstochowa, Poland in February 2024 - in recognition of his efforts to strengthen the cooperation with local entrepreneurs / support for economic development.

He also coordinated and managed the Kolkata visit of a high-powered Polish Delegation led by Mr. Jakub Chełstowski, Marshal of Silesian Voivodeship, Poland in February 2024. Apart from several governmental & institutional meetings, the visit saw the renewal of the Agreement of Cooperation between Silesian Voivodeship and Government of West Bengal to strengthen the existing relationship and explore new areas of cooperation.

Joydeep has been instrumental in facilitating academic collaborations with Polish Universities over the years. Joydeep is the Founder Director of Centre for Europe-India Studies (CEIS), that has been setup with leading academic luminaries from Poland and India in 2023.

Joydeep is the Secretary General of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) Kolkata, which is part of a global peer-to-peer body of entrepreneurs with 223 Chapters in 75 countries. He is associated with EO Kolkata since 2004. He has also taken over as the Secretary General of EO South Asia Platinum Bridge, a newly formed EO Chapter of the South Asia region.

Joydeep is the PR & Communications Chair, Federation of Hosiery Manufacturers Association of India (FOHMA), which is an apex body for the Indian hosiery fraternity.

Joydeep is the Founder of Malt Connoisseurs Club, a private initiative for giving Single Malt Whisky lovers of Kolkata a chance to taste, appreciate & enjoy some of the finest single malts produced globally. Membership of this Club is by invitation only.

Joydeep holds a MA in Public Administration, a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations, Diploma in Industrial Psychology and a National Certificate in Supervision. As a self-made man, he loves to share his life’s learning experiences and lectures (selectively) on Motivation, PR & Communication Skills. He is a well-known face in the professional / corporate circles of Kolkata.
