Dr Eissa Eid Jawhar Alfaraj Alremeithi is a distinguished academic, innovator, and leader in the field of entrepreneurship
and economic development Born and educated in the United Arab Emirates, he has pursued an illustrious educational and professional journey that spans multiple continents and specialized disciplines
Dr Alremeithi commenced his higher education at Ajman University, UAE, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in
Accounting in 2006 His academic pursuits led him to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, USA, where he deepened his
knowledge in economic development, graduating with a Master s degree in 2009 His thesis focused on macro policy issues
and emerging markets, foreshadowing his future contributions to the economic landscape
Driven by a passion for contributing to business competitiveness, Dr Alremeithi advanced his studies at Deusto Business
School in San Sebastian, Spain There, he earned his PhD in Business Competitiveness and Economic Development in 2016
receiving Cum Laude honors for his dissertation on the determinants of corporate venturing in Spain This work not only highlighted his scholarly capabilities but also his commitment to understanding the intricate dynamics of business innovation.
Initially from 2010 to 2011 he served as the Chief of Staff at the Cultural Section of the UAE Embassy in Washington DC.
Following this, from 2012 to 2016 he pursued his PhD at the Basque Institute of Competitiveness in San Sebastian, Spain
Alongside his studies, Dr Alremeithi also engaged in teaching and research, notably as a Teaching Assistant at the United
Arab Emirates University His academic pursuits were paralleled by his practical experiences in international relations, as
exemplified by his role at the UAE Embassy This combination of roles showcases his involvement in both educational
activities and practical international affairs
Since returning to the UAE, Dr Alremeithi has taken on significant administrative and teaching roles at UAEU As the
Director of the Continuing Education Center since 2017 and an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship since 2016 he has
been pivotal in shaping the educational landscape in entrepreneurship His current role as Chief Innovation Officer (
which he began in 2024 involves leading the Innovation Support Team to foster and accelerate innovative projects, thereby
enhancing the creative capacities of the university community Expanding on his career, Dr Alremeithi has recently taken
on the role of Chief Executive Officer ( at a Science Innovation Park This position leverages his strong background in
research, teaching, and leadership within international contexts, aligning with his previous experiences and academic
expertise to drive innovation and scientific development
Dr Alremeithi s work extends beyond the classroom and administrative duties He actively participates in various
professional networks, contributing to dialogues on innovation management and business education His commitment to
fostering an innovation friendly environment is evident in his strategic collaborations with both local and international
entities specializing in innovation incubators Fluent in Arabic and English, Dr Alremeithi s international educational
background and diverse professional experiences enable him to effectively bridge cultural and economic divides, fostering
a deeper understanding and implementation of innovative practices in the UAE and beyond
