President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. since March 20th, 2024
Manager with many years of experience in public administration and business, including roles within state-owned companies. With competencies in organisational management, key process oversight, and development, he has in-depth knowledge of state-owned companies, the public administration system, including corporate governance and management of public assets, as well as the regulatory environment and collaboration between the business and government sectors.
As Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of State Treasury, he was responsible for restructuring and integration processes, including at the Ciech Group, chemical and shipbuilding companies, Polski Holding Nieruchomości, and companies in the food and agricultural industry. He supervised the privatisation of hundreds of state-owned companies and enterprises, particularly in the chemical and petrochemical industries. He has expertise in corporate governance and ownership transformations.
In 2017–2022, he served as a Member of the Management Board of STEAG Energo Mineral sp. z o.o., He served as the Development Director at the JD Group in Opole and was a Member of the Management Board of Popioły Przemysłowe sp. z o.o. in Opole.
In 2012–2016, he was President of the Management Board and CEO of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn. In 2013–2016, as a Board Member of the Grupa Azoty Group, he was responsible for the Group’s divestment projects and cooperation with the state administration. He was a member of the Azoty Pro Operational Excellence Team and the Grupa Azoty Group Consolidation Team. In 2015, he served as President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Chorzów.
In 2012-2016, Chairman of the Council of the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry. In the past, among others: Member of the Council of Employers of the Republic of Poland and Chairman of the Chemical Platform, Chairman of the Civil Service Council of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. He was a member of supervisory boards, among others: Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego or MPWiK in Warsaw.
Most recently, he held the position of chancellor at the University of Economics in Krakow.
