Senior Loan Officer, Lending Operations in Poland and Baltic States, Public Sector and Infrastructure, European Investment Bank
Vasco joined the EIB in July 2012 and is part of the team dealing with the financing of public sector and infrastructure projects in Poland and in the three Baltic States. In particular, Vasco has experience in municipal lending, in social and affordable housing, heating and healthcare financing. As a loan officer, Vasco is in charge of handling the relation of the EIB with its public sector clients and of managing public sector projects financed by the EIB mostly in Poland. This role involves origination of operations, structuring of the deals, closing of the operation and disbursement of the funds and post-closing monitoring.
Vasco is a Portuguese qualified lawyer, with a law degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Lisbon, Portugal). Before joining the EIB, Vasco was a senior associate in an international law firm and, prior to becoming a loan officer, Vasco worked as a legal counsel in the Legal Directorate of the EIB. Vasco is able to work in Portuguese, Polish, English, French and Spanish.
