Architect and urban planner. Founder and chief designer at the author's KONIOR STUDIO office. Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology (1994). Completed postgraduate studies in conservation of monuments at the Silesian University of Technology (1995). In 2019 he defended his doctoral thesis: "Evolution of public space in buildings for music''. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 buildings, mainly public buildings. Buildings for music have brought him particular recognition. Among the most famous and award-winning are the Symphony Center for Music Science and Education and the headquarters of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, the State Music School Complex "New Miodowa" in Warsaw. Currently, after winning architectural competitions, he is designing the Philharmonic Hall in Brno and the campus of the Academy of Music in Cracow. He is the winner of numerous architectural competitions and individual awards, including: first prize in the International Competition of Young Architects 'Leonardo' (2007), the International Union of Architects (UIA) - Award For The Most Friendly And Accessible For All Public Project (2008), Silver Medal , "Meritorious To Culture Gloria Artis"(2014), Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in the field of architecture (2015), Platinum Laurel of Skills and Competence (2015). Three times nominated for the Mies Van der Rohe European Architecture Award, nominated for the Kazimierz Kutz Award (2022). (2022). In 2012-2015, he served as Chairman of the Coordination Team of Competition Judges at the SARP Main Board. Until 2017, he was a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum in Warsaw. He is a member and co-founder of the Institute for the Contemporary City. He is involved in social initiatives for environmental protection (LIBRA Association) and music promotion (Katowice Natura Culture Association). Member of the program board of the Ars Cameralis festival. Passionate about the city and classical music. Lover of cats.
