Mateusz Baran is a partner and head of the corporate law practice at CRIDO, responsible for a team of more than a dozen lawyers dealing with corporate issues. Mateusz handles a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on complex reorganisation processes, succession, advising Private Clients and family businesses, and M&A transactions. His team conducted one of the biggest corporate intergenerational transfer projects in Poland involving the reorganisation of a company with different business profiles following the death of its owner. Mateusz often collaborates with foreign advisors, efficiently implementing innovative cross-border projects (including one of the first corporate cross-border mergers in Poland). Clients value Mateusz for his responsiveness, open mind, and high standard of service. Based on client feedback, since 2018 Mateusz has been recommended by the prestigious international law firm ranking The Legal 500 in the Private Clients category in which, for several consecutive years now, he has also received individual recommendations as Next Generation Partner. Mateusz and his team have also been recognised in the Commercial, Corporate and M&A, and Investment Funds categories of the Legal 500 ranking. In addition, in 2023 the team headed by Mateusz received a recommendation in the Corporate/M&A category in the Chambers Europe ranking and was named the most recommended in the corporate law category in a list published by Forbes Poland.
