European affairs analyst with long experience in Polish and international public sector. Before joining PIE he was a Minister for the European Union (since March 2020 to October 2022). Before that, from 2015 to 2019 he was a deputy minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland and a Member of European Parliament (2004-2014), where he was member of the Committees of Industry, Research and Energy and Foreign Affairs. From 2003 to 2010 he was a chief editor of the International Political Review – a bimonthly journal of economic and international policy edited by Sobieski Institute, in which European and American think tanks could present their materials. Konrad Szymański graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.
