Prof. Joanna Rymaszewska is a specialist in psychiatry from the Wrocław Medical University. The main areas of her research projects, including international ones (EU Framework Programmes, JPND, COST, MSC Horizon2020), scientific publications and textbooks include neurostimulation in mental disorders, consultative psychiatry, old age, social health. Chairperson of the annual conference Psychiatry - Interdisciplinary Dialogues in Wrocław, member of the Board of the European Association of Psychosomatic Medicine and INTERDEM (Network of Researchers on Psychosocial Interventions in Dementia). Member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology, Bioethics Committee of the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Promoter of 17 completed and 9 ongoing doctoral dissertations. Among her awards, she considers the most valuable the honourable title ACTIVE IN WALKING WITH DEPRESSION awarded by the Association Actively Against Depression (2019), the medal MERITO DE WRATISLAVIA 2022 and the title WROCŁAWIANKA ROKU 2022 in the scientific and research category.
