Jarosław Klimaszewski, was born on 25 March 1970 in Bielsko-Biała, a psychologist and economist by education, has been the mayor of Bielsko-Biała since November 2018. He was elected to the City Council of Bielsko-Biała three times (12 years: 2006-2018), and twice (2008-2010, 2014-2018) the Council entrusted him the function of its chairman. Before became the local government official, Mr. Klimaszewski had developed his career in a private sector and industry. Since 2008 until the elections in 2018 he held the position of Chairman of the Board and the CEO of Bezalin SA. (a leading manufacturer of technical textiles and fire hoses in Poland). Jarosław Klimaszewski has a wide range of experience in the recognition of needs and expectations of citizens of Bielsko-Biała and the whole south subregion of the Silesia Voivodship due to be the part of local institutions: - ‘Aglomeracja Beskidzka’ Association – Chairman, - ‘Beskidy Region’ Association – Chairman, - The Union of Silesian Communes and Counties – Member of the Board, - Association of Municipalities and Counties of Lesser Poland – Vice-president of the Board, - Voluntary Fire Fighters of Bielsko-Biała – Chairman, - The Salvatorian Hospice Association - an honorary member
