Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine 2005-2010, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan 2011-2015
Diplomat, civil servant and journalist. 1995 – 2001, an adviser to the President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski and member of Consultative Committee to the Presidents of Poland and Ukraine. In 2001 -2004 he was a chairman of the board of the Polish Know-How Foundation. From May 2004 till September 2005 he led the team of Polish Prime Minister’s advisers and worked as a undersecretary of state in the Prime Minister Marek Belka office.
During the Orange Revolution in Ukraine in November – December 2004, he led a group of Polish and international diplomats and experts to prepare an international mediation.
From September 2005 until the end of 2010, he served as Polish ambassador to Ukraine. From February 2011 until September 2015 he was the ambassador of Poland to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Since October 2015 a coordinator on Ukrainian Issues at the Institute for Eastern Studies in Warsaw and member of the Council of Polish-Ukrainian Partnership Forum at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
