Erik Emilsson is Global Network Banking, Poland Country Head at Citi Handlowy. He has held the current role since March 2022.

Having joined Citi in New York in 2011 as part of the Global Engagement Management Associate (GEMA) program, prior to his current position, Erik has served in different roles  across international markets including Warsaw, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Stockholm and, most recently, Shanghai. In Shanghai, 2018-2022, Erik served as an APAC Regional Account Manager (RAM) covering Asia headquarters. 

Prior to Shanghai Erik spent three years in Stockholm, Sweden leading the subsidiaries franchise in the Nordic region.  Between 2012-15 Erik worked at Citi Handlowy as a relationship manager in the global subsidiaries group, which also included time with the brokerage business. Erik’s GEMA experience also included one year (2011-12) in Tokyo, Japan in Global Markets Japan and the Client Management Team, a team focused on analytics, business development and strategy for Fixed Income and Equity desks.

Born and raised in Sweden, Erik holds an undergraduate degree in Business Economics and a minor in Accounting from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with an MBA from the Hong Kong U. of Science & Technology (additional exchange semester at Columbia Business School). His post-collegiate career started in 2006 with Ernst & Young’s global audit department based in Stockholm, Sweden. In his spare time Erik enjoys all kinds of sports with a particular interest for running, tennis and golf. Erik is married with two young children.
