Since 3 December 2019, Barbara Socha has been acting as the Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy
Barbara Socha graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics in Finance and Banking as well as from the University of Warsaw in International Economic and Political Relations (postgraduate journalism studies) and from doctoral economic and social studies at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
She gained her professional experience as a director for communication, spokesperson and director for industrial marketing at IBM Poland for Central and Eastern Europe.
In the years 2018-2019, she was involved in, inter alia, research projects and coordination of social campaigns for the Mom and Dad Foundation (Fundacja Mamy i Taty).
In December 2019, she was appointed Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy and Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Family and Social Policy. She is responsible for preparing and implementing the draft Demographic Strategy as well as promoting and popularising family-oriented culture. She cooperates with the Family Council at the Minister of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy.
She is married, has 3 sons and 2 daughters.
