Agnieszka Ścigaj is a Minister and Member of the Council of Ministers responsible for social integration, as well as a Member of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) of the VIII term.
She was born on December 22, 1975, in Krakow and currently resides in Kolbark. She does not belong to any political party.
Mrs Scigaj graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Silesia and also completed postgraduate studies in social economics at the Krakow University of Economics.
Throughout her professional career, she has been mainly associated with social policy, with 30 years of experience. She has worked as a consultant, trainer, and project coordinator, co-creating, among others, the Association for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development "Klucz".
Mrs Ścigaj worked on projects carried out by the Voivodeship Labour Office in Krakow and local government institutions. She is also an expert and advisor in the field of social economics and local development.
She was a consultant to the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy in the social integration program for the Małopolska region and vice-president of the board of the social cooperative "Opoka", where she managed vocational activation projects for people with disabilities.
In 2015, she ran for Parliament on the Kukiz'15 list and was elected as a Member of Parliament of the VIII term. In the 2019 elections, she was a candidate in the parliamentary elections on the PSL list, receiving first place in the Cracow constituency. As a result of the vote, she was re-elected as a Member of Parliament.
During her work in Parliament, mrs Scigaj was a member of the committees on economy and development, senior policy, agriculture and rural development, and culture and media. Currently, she serves as Vice-Chairperson of the Senior Policy Committee and the Social Policy and Family Committee, as well as a member of the Economy and Development Committee.
