Sebastian Skuza

Secretary of State, General Inspector of Financial Information, Ministry of Finance, Poland

Sebastian Skuza graduated the Faculty of Law of the European University of Law and Administration and the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2002, he obtained a PhD in economics and habilitation in 2016.

For over 20 years associated with the public institutions as well as the financial market institutions, in 1997-2012 mostly with the Ministry of Finance.

Since 2007, he has been associated with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, and since 2017 he is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Polish Bank Association (ZBP).

From 2006 to 2013 a member of the Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

From 2010 to 2012, he represented the minister responsible for financial institutions in the Interministerial Committee for Financial Security, operating at the General Inspector of Financial Information.

From 23rd of June, 2017 to 31st of May, 2020, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education.

He is a long-term associate of several universities and the author or co-author of approx. 170 publications in the field of public finance, capital market, banking and financial stability.

Since 2019, professor at the University of Warsaw.
