Rafal Jakubowski has been managing marketing strategies and activities for over 20 years. He has continuously been building expertise on people’s behaviors and needs so that to convert it into new products, concepts and communication campaigns.

His career path includes 13 years marketing development in blue chip FMCG companies both in Poland (Mars, Danone and Coca-Cola) and abroad (Danone Czechia). From 2011 till 2014 he moved to retail business to manage marketing and R&D as a Marketing Director of over 200 KFC restaurants in Central European region

For the last 7 years he has been managing marketing department of mBank  - one of top banks in Poland. His highly innovative and sometimes disruptive approach to customer understanding, segmentation, postioning and communication helps mBank to outpace competition in many customer segments within retail business. In 2019 he was awarded Marketing Director of the Year (Long-term category) and in 2020 and 2021 was awarded a 2nd place in Press magazine contest of AdWo/Man of the Year.

For the last 5 years he has been holding the position of vice-president of IAA (International Advertising Association) in Poland with single-source research project at his core of interests. He is then a co-founder of the think-tank Marketeers for Better Research Coalition. The Coalition co-created a set of expected standards (“Golden Standard”) to define a new model of media research for Poland.
