Associated with Kraków Water for 21 years. In 2015, he became a Member of the Company’s Management Board and then Vice President. He has served as President of the Board since 1 April 2017.
From 2013 to 2015, he was the Plenipotentiary for Organization and Social Communication at Krakowski Holding Komunalny S.A., working on the eco-incinerator plant construction project. In 2017, he became Vice President of the Council of the Polish Waterworks Chamber of Commerce.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Management at the Cracow University of Economics and regularly supplements his knowledge with postgraduate studies. He received his MBA in Public Management at the Cracow School of Business at Cracow University of Economics. He is qualified to serve on Supervisory Boards.
He collaborates with the world of science, participates in scientific conferences and symposiums, and attends EBC international industry benchmarking workshops. In April 2019, Piotr Ziętara became Chairperson of the First University Council, and in December 2020, he was elected as Chairperson of the University Council for the 2021–2024 term. In May 2020, he was appointed by the Kraków City Council to the Social Councils of the city’s medical entities: Gabriel Narutowicz Municipal Specialist Hospital and Stefan Żeromski SPZOZ [independent public health care unit] Specialist Hospital. He is a member of the Council of the Kraków Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a member of the Association of Polish Economists.
