Piotr Dziadzio

He is a graduate of the Jagiellonian University, Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences, where he earned a master's degree in geology with a specialization in stratigraphy and prospecting (1992). He received his PhD in earth science in the field geology from the Polish Geological Institute (1999). He completed his postgraduate studies in business management at the National-Louis University School of Business in Nowy Sącz (2001).

He started his professional career in geology in 1992 at the Polish Academy of Sciences - Institute of Geological Sciences. In 1993-2006, he worked for PGNiG S.A. at the Geological Office Geonafta in Gorlice and at the Deposit Exploration Department of the Regional Center South in Jasło. In 2006-2011 he was the Managing Director of the company Narzędzia i Urządzenia Wiertnicze Glinik Sp. z o.o. in Gorlice. From 2012 to 2013, he worked for private companies in the hydrocarbon exploration and production business. Since 2014, he has been an employee of the Oil and Gas Institute - National Research Institute.

Piotr Dziadzio is a longstanding member of the Scientific Association of the Oil and Gas Industry Engineers and Technicians. In 2016, he was elected the Secretary General of the organization, a position he held until 31 July 2019. From 2004 until 31 July, he also served as the editor-in-chief of the Oil and Gas News journal.

From 2016 to 2021 he was the secretary of the Polish National Committee of the World Petroleum Council, currently he is the deputy chairman of the PNC WPC.

Since 2016, he has also been the Secretary of the Polish National Committee of the World Petroleum Council. In 2019, he was appointed the secretary of state at the Ministry of Environment - the Chief National Geologist and then the Chief National Geologist and Secretary of State at the Ministry of Climate. Since October 2020, at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, he has served as the undersecretary of state - the Chief National Geologist and at the same time he is the Government Plenipotentiary for the State Raw Material Policy.

He is the author of many scientific publications, studies, designs, and geological documentations. He holds the rank of the General Director of Mining, the Honorary Distinctions of Merit for Mining in the Republic of Poland, Merit for Polish Geology  which he received for his work for the Polish mining industry and geology and the Badge of Merit for the Oil and Gas Industry.
