Position: acting Chairman of the Board

Paweł Mirowski is a graduate of Environmental Protection at the Agricultural University in Szczecin. He also completed postgraduate studies in business management at the West Pomeranian Business School and waste management at the Warsaw School of Economics.

 

He gained professional experience working for Energetyka Szczecińska S.A. (1999-2000) and Zakłady Chemiczne Police S.A. (2000-2009). In 2009-2014, he was Deputy Mayor of Police, where he supervised organisational units implementing tasks, in the field of environmental protection, architecture, real estate management and civil affairs. He was also responsible for the introduction of a waste management system in the municipality of Police (with the establishment of the Department of Waste Management) and supervised the organizational unit of the municipality of Police called Municipal Waste Recovery and Storage Plant in Lesno Górne. Subsequently, from 2014 to 2016, he was the Deputy District Head of Police. While holding this position, he was subordinated to organisational units implementing tasks in the field of, among others, environmental protection, architecture and construction, real estate management and geodesy and cartography.

 

He also held the position of Director of the Infrastructure Centre of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne Police S.A. (2016-2018), then he was a member of the Management Board of the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Szczecin, Deputy President in 2017-2018 and President of the Management Board in 2018-2020. In 2019-2020, he led the Convention of Presidents of provincial funds for environmental protection and water management.

 

Currently, as Vice-President of the Management Board of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, overseeing the work of the Clean Air Department, he is responsible for the implementation of the nationwide "Clean Air" programme – whereby more than PLN 100 billion will allow to replace heat sources and carry out thermal modernisation of single-family buildings. He also supervises the work of the RES Department, Department of Zero-Emission Transport and Department of External Funds.
