Habilitated doctor in the field of sociological sciences, professor at the University of Silesia in Katowice, author and co-author of over 100 articles, 7 books and edited works, her main research interests concern the issue of perception of technology by society, coping with change and innovation in the workplace. She conducted research projects in the field of transformations of the industrial region towards the region of knowledge, she had participated in research on the conditions for applying innovation, enterprise management, regional development, organizational culture and shaping its image, regional elites. Currently, he runs a research team, preparing for research on the social determinants of the development of artificial intelligence and its reception in society. She is the chairman of the Program and Business Council at the Institute of Sociology and courses at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
