Founder and CEO of the Rekord Group, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice graduate. In 1989, he founded the Rekord SI company. Rekord SI has become a nationwide company for over 30 years on the Polish software market. Rekord SI offers state-of-the-art IT solutions for public administration and manufacturing companies. Rekord SI is the producer of two original software packages: Ratusz and Rekord.ERP. Its headquarters are situated in Bielsko-Biała, but there are also two branches: in Kraków (established in 2009) and in Pomerania (established in Szczecin in 2014). Record SI allocates 50% of its profit for social purposes. The company is a sponsor of the Rekord Bielsko-Biała sports club - six-time Polish futsal champion. Rekord Group also includes the Sports Championship School and the Training Center.

Janusz Szymura received the main prize statuette fifth times in the "Fair Play Enterprise" competition. The company was also awarded the Golden Statuette of the Polish Business Leader of the BCC and received 10 Diamonds for Statuette. As businessman and social activist Janusz Szymura has been bound up with Bielsko-Biała for decades. In Business Centre Club he is the chancellor of Bielsko-Biała chamber. He is also the chairman of Economic Council advising President of Bielsko-Biała.
