Grzegorz Puda

Minister of Funds and Regional Policies, Poland

Grzegorz Puda was born on 13th of July 1982 in Bielsko-Biała (Poland). He is a Polish local government official, manager and academic lecturer. 

He graduated with a master’s degree in engineering in Animal Science at the Agricultural University of Krakow. He gained professional experience both in Poland and abroad, where he worked for leading companies. He worked in Poland for several years in one of the largest financial institutions in Europe. Before he took office as a deputy, he successfully developed one of the Bielsko-Biała-based companies as a manager. He was also an academic lecturer at one of the universities in Bielsko-Biała. 

He gained local government experience among others, as a coordinator at the Poviat’s Office and the city councillor in Bielsko-Biała. He performed the mandate of the councillor for almost three terms, until Sejm elections in 2015. He was Sejm deputy during VIII and IX terms. He was the Vice-chairman of the Infrastructure Committee and the Secretary of Sejm. 

On the 15th of July 2019 he was appointed secretary of state at the Ministry of Investment and Development. He held the same position at the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, which transformed from the Ministry of Investment and Development. From the 23rd of July 2019 he was also a government plenipotentiary for the organization of the World Urban Forum in 2022 in Katowice. 

From the 6th of October 2020 he was the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development . 

On the 26th of October 2021 he was appointed to the office of the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy. 

In free time, he is a sailing enthusiast.
