Prof. dr hab. Elżbieta Mączyńska is a professor of economic sciences, associated with the Warsaw School of Economics. She is a member of: the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the "Poland 2000 Plus" Forecast Committee Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Economic Sciences Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She was the president of the Polish Economic Society (2005-2021), currently she is the honorary president. She is a creator of models of predicting bankruptcy. She specializes in economics, including economic analysis, finance and enterprise valuation, economic systems and strategy of socio‑economic development. She is the author (or co-author) of about 300 publications on these subjects.
