Her research interests include design and implementation of information systems
in organizations, digitalization of economy and enterprises, managerial decision support systems, computer-aided organizational creativity, Business Intelligence, Big data, and the impact of information technology on the economy and society.

Author of over 350 academic publications, including recent monograph: “Business Intelligence and Big Data. Drivers of organizational success” (Taylor and Francis, 2021).

She held fellowships from the Swiss State at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich, the Deutsche Akademische Austausch Dienst at the University of Trier, Germany, and the Bekker Program at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.

She is a member of several scientific organizations and societies: Presidium of CRASP (Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland),  Committee on Organizational and Management Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Management Board of the Polish Economic Society, Advisory Board for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s programme "Excellent Science”, Metropolitan Development Council of Metropolis GZM and program council of European Capital of Science Katowice 2024. She also acts as president of the CRASP IT Infrastructure Committee as well as chair of RKRUA (Regional Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools).
