Bartosz Urbaniak

Head of Food & Agri Banking CEE & Africa, BNP Paribas Bank

A graduate of banking at the Faculty of Finance and Statistics of the Warsaw School of Economics. He completed a postgraduate program for foreigners at the Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Japan. Participant and graduate of many training courses and educational programs, incl. Harvard Business School, IESE, Ashridge College. 

At the beginning of his professional career (in 1995-2001), he was associated with the Warsaw Commodity Exchange, performing many functions, from a student apprentice at the time of establishing the WGT to the Vice-President of the Management Board in 1999-2001.

In the years 2001-2002 he worked at the Agricultural Market Agency, where he was the deputy director of the Market Intervention Office and acted as the Plant Products Director. He has been permanently associated with Bank BGŻ since 2002, initially as the deputy director of the Department of Separated Credits (in 2002-2003). Then he became the director of the Department of Institutional Banking Development (2003-2005). From September 2005, he performed various functions in the agribusiness area, including the director of the Agribusiness Financing Department and the managing director for Agribusiness and SME. From March 2015 to February 2018, he was a member of the Management Board of Bank BGŻ BNP Paribas.
