The successor and leader of Mokate Group’s family business. He acquired his knowledge and skills working from the start in marketing, purchasing and sales. As a result of his 20-year involvement in the development of B2B and B2C products (retail, brand and international), as well as his efforts aimed at growing exports by reaching markets in over 70 countries, Mokate Group belongs now to one of the top Polish food production exporters, and exports constitute 80% of its revenues. In January 2016, he became the group’s general manager and is responsible for the development of new business directions, he creates and develops the company’s international identity. In international markets, he is recognised as the leading Central European expert in FMCG.
For his achievements, he received many awards and distinctions, which included the Silver Cross of Merit 2018, Polish Business Leader, Golden Super Caesar of Silesian Business, EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2018, Manager of the Year 2017, Master of Business – Succession Category 2018, Investors Without Borders 2019, ENTREPRENEUR MAGNUS 2018, Prominent Entrepreneur – Polish African Business Achievements 2019, BrandMe CEO of “Forbes” 2022.
He graduated from K Adamiecki University of Economics in Katowice (management and marketing). In 2004 he received the M.A. title at the International Trade Department of University of London. In 2008-2009 he completed postgraduate studies IMD-AEDP – Accelerated Executive Development Program at University of Lausanne. In 2012 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Economics – management sciences at his alma mater in Katowice.
Since he was a child, he has been playing chess, which he has been popularising in Poland. Through the project “Education through chess in schools” by Polish Chess Union, he supports the development of local communities. He has regularly participated in the organisation of chess tournaments and championships, according to the slogan “Mokate stimulates thinking” He is an engaged and active partner of the Polish Chess Union. Adam Mokrysz has a long-term goal of introducing chess to elementary schools as a compulsory subject. In his free time, he scuba-dives, plays table tennis and basketball. He is fascinated by the African continent.
