The event will be available online on 24-25 May 2021, while the 13th edition of the European Economic Congress – held both remotely and in a traditional form in the International Congress Centre in Katowice – will take place on 20-22 September 2021.

The event will be available online on 24-25 May 2021, while the 13th edition of the European Economic Congress – broadcast on the Internet and held in front of the audience in the International Congress Centre in Katowice – will take place on 20-22 September 2021.
“In the years 2009-2019 we used to meet in April or May in Katowice, where we created the most substantial business conference in Central Europe. This year, for the second time, we will hold our debates online. EEC Online is one in a series of events – diversified in form and addressing new challenges – held throughout a year under the brand of the European Economic Congress. In September we will meet and talk both in person, in the International Congress Centre, and remotely,” says Wojciech Kuśpik, president of the PTWP Group, the organiser of the European Economic Congress in Katowice.
Every year the event’s panel of experts comprises EU Commissioners, prime ministers and representatives of European governments, presidents of the largest companies, scientists, academics, practicioners and decision-makers.
At EEC Online they will discuss key issues related to the future of the economy, most rapidly transforming areas, the economic situation and many more important subjects.
The initial thematic scope of the event includes the following subjects: international expansion in the new reality, uniform EU internal market, New Deal and Poland’s Industrial Policy, battered-economy, Cyber Poland 2021, the National Recovery Plan, closed circuit economy, new European Bauhaus, green buildings, green construction, rail cargo, public transport.
Sustainable cities and the transformation of mining regions are among other subjects included in the agenda of EEC Online. Traditionally discussions will also revolve around the subjects of the global, European and Polish energy sector. We have also planned talks about future trends, technologies, geopolitics, labour market, education and e-commerce.
EEC Online will be available on 24-25 May 2021 at www.eecpoland.eu. Debates will be streamed live and available for registered participants in accordance with their status.
Last year EEC Online attracted on average one thousand people, who met in an virtual auditorium. The debates of EEC Online 2020 were played 316,000 times.
Throughout 2021 the PTWP Group holds talks, carries interviews, organizes debates and conducts research under the EEC brand. On two days in February we held EEC Trends, in May we will hold a three-day long cycle of online discussions, and the 13th edition of the European Economic Congress will take place on 20-22 September – both remotely and in the traditional form in the International Congress Centre.
The European Economic Congress in Katowice is a three-day long cycle of debates, meetings and accompanying events attended by participants from Poland, Europe and all over the world, including EU Commissioners, prime ministers and representatives of European governments, presidents of the largest companies, scientists, practitioners, and decision-makers influencing societies and economies.
In an open public debate leaders of opinion discuss subjects of paramount importance from the perspective of the development of Europe.
The European Economic Congress, since its first edition in 2009, has been organized by the PTWP Group.
