Lesław Winiarski

Mr. Winiarski has a degree in Information Technology from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology. He has been affiliated with the electricity sector since the outset of his career. At the beginning of his professional career, he worked in an innovative company implementing metering systems to the industrial sector, commercial power sector, and electricity power systems operators. He has been working at Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne since 2000. He started in the Metering and Billing Systems Unit, then he was the head of the IT Systems Division at the System Operation Services Department and participated in the implementation of the electricity Balancing Market in Poland. From 2011 to 2018 he held the positions of the Deputy Director and the Director of the IT Department. As the Deputy Director of the Metering Department, he’s been managing the OIRE (Central Metering Data Hub Operator) project since 2018.

Since 2003 he’s been a member of the international groups working on the standardization of the electronic data interchange in electric power systems.
