is Associate Professor and Head of Insurance Department at the Poznań University of Economics and Business in Poland. He holds a PhD in Economics/Insurance and a D.Sc. (postdoctoral degree/habilitation) in Economics/Finance/Insurance. He is a member of several international and Polish industry organisations, including the Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA), Western Risk and Insurance Association (WRIA), International Academy of Financial Consumers (IAFICO), Financial Sciences Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and Trade Credit Insurance and Surety Subcommittees of the Polish Insurance Association. From 2012 until 2016 he sat on the jury for the “CFO of the Year” competition organised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Euler Hermes and Forbes Magazine. He sits on Supervisory Boards of several insurance companies including Allianz TUiR (Non-life), Allianz TUZ (Life) and Euler Hermes TU. Between 2013 and 2016 he also served as a member of Allianz PTE Supervisory Board. His research is focused mainly on trade credit insurance, surety, financial management of insurers and challenges in the insurance market. His work has been presented at many international conferences and published in numerous recognised journals.
