She graduated economics and business management at the Radom Polytechnic and post-graduate administration at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. She is also a graduate of the University of Information Technology and Management in Warsaw. Has over 30 years of professional experience, among others as the head of the Wholesale Services Regulated Market Section in Telekomunikacja Polska and the deputy head of the commune in Smyków commune in the years 2010-2012, where she started self-government work. In 2012 she was appointed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk as a Commissioner to act the function of Kazimierza Wielka Mayor. A year later she took over the functions of the Piekoszów Commune organs, i.e. the Mayor of Piekoszów and Commune Council. In 2014, the prime minister assigned Bożena Szczypiór the function of the Mayor of Starachowice and the Head of the Wodzisław Commune. In the years 2014-2018 elected in the local elections for Mayor of Wodzisław in Jędrzejów County. In the June 2019 she got position of the Directorof Administation Department in the City Hall of Kielce where she prepared and supervised municipal investments. In the 13th of December 2019 Mayor of Kielce Mr Bogdan Wenta had appoint Mrs Szczypiór for the Ist Deputy Mayor of the Kielce City.
